Qijia culture: (1890 B.C.-1620 B.C.). It developed from Majiayao culture. It mainly distributed in Gansu, Qinghai and Ningxia. The main products were clay and gritty red pottery which were made by hand. The firing temperature was 800 to1100 centigrade. The shapes were cup, tray, bowl, dish, pot, Dou, He, Jia, Ge, rice steamer and so on. There were basket pattern, rope pattern, lineation pattern, curve pattern, comb pattern and cone pattern etc. At that time, the number of decorated pottery was decreased. The primary products were decorated black ware and red color was seldom used. The pattern was symmetrical and regular.
